Challenge

Local artist Wyatt Ellison asked LINK Creative to update his studio's offerings and provide a method for him to present new pieces. Additionally, he requested a sparse design reflective of his art, yet needed to display a number of works without crowding the site.

Solution

Staging many pieces while showing few was accomplished through the use of dynamic page content — we utilize a gradual rotation of representative pieces in the same frame, randomized for attention-holding. By maintaining a page layout devoid of distractions — using simple colors and faded fonts, we are able to focus the visitor's attention on the presentation of the artist through his body of work. For Wyatt, we developed a Content Management System so that he can update the presentation of the site himself, because "inspiration flashes sporadically."
